What you need to know
- Google Play is hosting an auction at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) with on-site and online prizes for visitors.
- Gold or higher Play Points members in the Play Store app can claim an exclusive digital reward for a chance to win prizes.

- The auction runs from July 23rd to July 25th, with an auction hosted by Quenlin Blackwell beginning at 5:00pm PT on the final day.
SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) is underway, and Google Play is there to see the sights, while offering rewards for users on site and online.
Google announced It hosts an Auction at SDCC and people can get perks and prizes for celebrating. If you can’t make it to the San Diego area for the festivities, Google Play Points members can still have fun. Google says users will find “Digital Reward Cases.” For Gold Plus members, “can unlock an exclusive digital reward box on Google Play to win score boosters and surprise collectibles.” Note that this includes Gold, Platinum and Diamond Play Points members.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for “instant rewards,” users can head over to the Redeem tab to redeem “high-demand gear” like the Gen 2 Backbone One. DEATH STRANDING 2 Limited Edition controller.
Anyone traveling to SDCC is hosting a Google Play Auction. From July 23 to July 25, visitors can “enter an immersive space where tokens earned on-site are your currency.” Google highlights a giant gachapon that visitors can spin for prizes. You can use your badges to redeem a special bag or “uniquely crafted keepsakes” on the venue’s keychain charm bar.
Visitors can also win prizes for MARVEL Strike Force and Crunchyroll.
It all comes together in a massive auction finale on July 25th hosted by Quenlin Blackwell at 5:00 p.m. Visitors can bid on high-priced items, from an Emerald Gemagotchi Necklace with white diamond buttons on a 14K gold ball chain to a Herman Miller Vantum Gaming Chair. Buying in-game items and other items through the Google Play Store helps you earn points. In turn, these points level you up from Bronze to Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. In September Updated Google Play Pointsintroducing new rewards. The inclusion of more rewards was for users in the U.K. Google teamed up with YouTube, Chrome, and developers to select accessories and clothing options for points holders.
Shortly after, in December, Google Play Points brought the Pixel 10 Pro into the mix with a decent discount. If you had points, you could get $250 off the Pixel 10 Pro, bringing it down to $749 at the Google Store. However, the company said some users may qualify for an additional $200, bringing it down to $549. It was a promotion that Google ran from December 15th to the 27th, so if you were there (and interested), it was a treat.

I’d get personal on this one, but you already know I’m a huge comic book fan (and if you didn’t…now you do). SDCC is always a great time. It’s a highlight to see what’s coming from my favorite games, Marvel comics, and DC comics. But excuse me, I get my rewards on Google Play.
