as annoying beforeGoogle Wallet for Android now offers Live Updates to track your current flight.
If you add your boarding pass to Google Wallet, you now receive notifications about updates such as boarding time changes. The persistent notification also provides quick access to the QR code on the door. The wallet also uses Gmail integration reminds you to register.
Google Wallet now shows Live Update on Android 16+. Activates shortly before takeoff. The status bar icon is the Wallet logo, Google shows the estimated time of arrival and the airline. The progress bar that appears on the always-on screen and on the lock screen shows flight time and uses an airplane icon.
Clicking takes you to a regular ticket page with a link to Google Flights that simply pops up as a web search result.
Google first mentioned that this feature would arrive in October 2025. Train trips and other “events” should also be supported.
This Live Update support in the wallet connects to Google Maps navigation.
