Google’s latest Android 17 beta fixes Bluetooth headaches and Gemini crashes

Google is wasting no time after that Android 17 completes QPR1. The company has officially started testing Android 17 QPR2 Beta 1, offering Pixel users and developers a first look at the next quarterly update, which is expected to arrive as a December 2026 Feature Drop.

This release doesn’t bring any new user features, but fixes some annoying bugs that plagued Pixel owners. In his official release notesGoogle says it’s fixed an issue where Bluetooth devices can’t reconnect after losing pairing, and shows no problem. There’s also a fix that stops media controls from flashing briefly on the lock screen when you wake up the phone, even if notifications for that app are turned off.
