Govee launches himself new TV Backlight 3 productbrings cinema-grade reactive lighting to your home theater with Matter support.
Govee TV Backlight 3 uses a 4MP dual camera with the first hybrid lens
The new Govee TV is the latest product based on the Backlight 3 camera system. This makes it more affordable than expensive HDMI sync boxes.
Govee says it’s “the first TV backlight to achieve 4 million pixel resolution through the industry’s first hybrid glass-plastic dual-camera lens.”
“TV Backlight 3 achieves 4 million pixel resolution, the highest in the TV backlight category, thanks to an industry-first hybrid glass-plastic (1G+3P) dual-camera lens,” said Govee.

“The advanced lens architecture combines the high light transmission of glass with the precise refraction of aspherical plastic elements, effectively minimizing chromatic aberration and distortion for sharper edge definition and purer detail reproduction.”
“This represents a 100% increase in resolving power over the previous generation, fully unlocking the sensor’s native imaging potential with approximately 30% greater overall image clarity than conventional 2MP lenses.”
Govee adds that its camera system is “designed to disappear behind the TV” and is “smaller than a thumb drive”.
The TV Backlight uses 3 4-in-1 RGBWIC LEDs
The company also shared more details about the TV Backlight 3 features:
The TV Backlight 3 features high-density 4-in-1 RGBWIC LEDs with a dedicated white channel, increasing color depth and richness beyond standard RGB setups for more nuanced, natural light reproduction. With 60 LEDs per meter, the brightness is increased by approximately 20% compared to the previous generation, creating smoother transitions and more layered lighting without visible interruptions from dark areas.

With Matter support, Govee TV Backlight 3 will work with Apple Home out of the box.
The new Govee TV Backlight 3 solution is available in two sizes:
- 55-65 inch TVs ($109.99)
- 75-85 inch TVs ($139.99)
