BenQ has been making great Mac-friendly monitors for years, and their new MA270S is the crème de la crème of their lineup. It’s a 27-inch 5K monitor, but it has a feature that most monitors don’t: a glossy finish.
All of Apple’s displays come standard with glossy covers, but for one reason or another, matte covers dominate the outdoor monitor market – and BenQ is bucking the trend. It does MA270S More at home with Mac.
I checked MA270U their more budget-friendly offering for the Mac last year. Although it comes in 4K instead of 5K, it’s still a 27-inch panel. It comes with a matte finish by default, though they are making a glossy finish option for those who prefer it. BenQ offers excellent colors, so you don’t have to worry about it falling short compared to your MacBook display.
Overview
New MA270S follows many of the same design philosophies as MA270U that I tried. It has the same thin bezels, the same minimal silver stand (with a silicone pad on the base to rest your MacBook without scratching it), and plenty of ports.
you can manage MA270S with just one USB-C cable, power your MacBook and connect all your accessories to the monitor. The display offers four USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and two additional HDMI ports for other devices.

BenQ also offers a program called Display Pilot 2 that lets you control the monitor’s display and brightness from your Mac’s keyboard without having to fiddle with the monitor’s controls. It also offers KVM, which allows you to seamlessly use the same keyboard and mouse with your Mac and Windows PC.
The built-in stand swivels, tilts, swivels and has height adjustment. On the other hand, the display panel offers 99% P3 color coverage, HDR400 support, up to 70Hz (although nothing to write home about) and built-in speakers.

Wrap it up
In all honesty, the only true compromises Studio Screen There are two layers:
said that MA270S is also included only $999Against a $1599 price tag Apple Studio Screen – while offering a similar 27-inch 5K panel with a glossy finish. The savings are significant and at the end of the day MA270S will be one of the few 5K options on the market with a glossy finish – so if that’s what you’re after, it’s kind of a no-brainer. It’s been my daily driver for weeks and I’m certainly very happy with it.
you can buy MA270S from BenQ website or on Amazon (out of stock at time of writing). Or if you want one of their cheaper glossy monitors (albeit in 4K) you can check it out. MA270UP or MA320UPhour 27-in and 32 inches screen sizes respectively. Both of these are available on Amazon.
