Android Central’s Take
To be honest, I was hoping for a more radical design, but that’s not happening in Android 17. These leaked emojis actually remind me a lot of Samsung’s emoji style, while still bearing traces of Google’s old Android emojis. They are definitely an improvement, but not on the same level as what apple currently offers.
