HONOR 600 series goes on sale in UAE with 200MP camera and mid-range Snapdragon 8 Elite

Honor has launched pre-orders for the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro in the UAE on April 23 following a launch event in Dubai.

The headline spec is a 200-megapixel main camera built on a large 1/1.4″ sensor – a sensor size you’d typically find on much more expensive phones. Honor combines that with AI night algorithms tuned specifically for low-light portrait work, which it claims preserves natural skin tones and depth even when the lighting standard is harsh at 60CI. CIPA 6.5 on the model and Pro, and max zoom to 120x on the Pro. delivers.

On the software side, the new AI Image to Video 2.0 feature lets users turn still photos into short video clips using natural language prompts and built-in templates. The device also has a dedicated AI button that, when long pressed, opens both AI Image to Video and AI Photo Agent – a letter that allows users to add, remove or edit elements in a photo with a simple language command.

The Honor 600 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s current top-of-the-line chip built on the 3nm process. Honor says it offers a 45% CPU and 44% GPU improvement over its predecessor – which the brand says supports real-time AI processing and high-performance gaming without draining the battery. Both models have a battery capacity of 7,000 mAh, which is the largest in Honor’s lineup with 80W wireless and SuperCharg support.

MagicOS 10.0 is loaded with productivity-focused AI tools: AI captioning and summarizing, Magic Portal for multitasking for different apps, AI deep fake detection, real-time AI translation and subtitles, and the updated HONOR Connect — iPhone and iPhone sharing features that connect your Android device to the Apple ecosystem — sync files with Apple Watch and display messages.

The series is available in Orange, Gold White and Black colors. Pre-orders start at AED 1,599 for the HONOR 600, which comes with HONOR CHOICE headsets, HONOR VIP Care+, India/Pakistan and GCC Warranty and a phone case. The HONOR 600 Pro bundle adds a free HONOR Watch Fit in place of the earbuds with the same care and warranty extras. HONOR says the freebies are valued up to AED 897.

At the Dubai event, HONOR GCC general manager Debo Zhang noted that the brand has seen 53% year-on-year growth in smartphone and tablet shipments across the GCC – a figure the company is clearly banking on as it positions the 600 Series as more of a testament to that momentum than just another mid-range launch.
