We are still trying to collect ourselves and regroup after yesterday’s Samsung Galaxy Unpacked. However, Honor has been watching, like the rest of us, and it wants to go head-to-head: pit the Magic V6 against the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

The good news is that the devices are relatively thin. But what’s interesting is how long it will take for Samsung to make a push in a significant area. As Sutrich reminded me, Honor’s Magic V3 from 2024 had a 5,080mAh battery. These numbers have only increased.
Durability is another area where Honor highlights its strengths. The Magic V6 is thin, however increases stamina like others. Both sides have made major improvements to their hinge technology, so the choice is really yours.
Android Central’s Take
There are other areas where Honor’s Magic V6 outperforms the Galaxy Z Fold 8. If you look at its selfie camera, the Magic V6 offers two 20MP lenses, while the Fold 8 makes do with dual 10MP.
