yesterday, Apple raised prices for a set of existing products. From iPads to HomePods to MacBooks, prices have risen from $20 to $300. Note that the entry-level MacBook Neo took a pretty big hit, going from $599 to $699. Today, Neo buyers have a new option to buy at the original price.
MacRumors notes that today Apple listed the MacBook Neo in each of its four colors Certified repair shopstarting at the same $599 they originally launched at. It’s not as attractive as a new deal for the same price, but Apple repairs are guaranteed to be fully restored and come with all original accessories and cables.
You can get the updated base model MacBook Neo with 256GB of storage for $599 ($100 off the new retail price) or the upgraded version with Touch ID fingerprint sensor and 512GB of storage for $679 ($120 off the current $799).
Apple’s recent price hikes are part of a broader trend as the component-hungry artificial intelligence industry and supply chain constraints caused by tariffs encourage device makers to pass on increased production costs to consumers. His revisions don’t specifically cover popular products like the iPhone or AirPods, but it’s likely that the upcoming iPhone 18 models could land with higher MSRPs than equivalent iPhone 17 devices.
