you are welcome Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the world of indie apps. If you’re a developer and want your app featured, get it in contact.
NeoCam It’s a fun new camera app for iPhone and iPad that brings a Game Boy camera style look to all your photos. It works in real-time, can be adjusted quickly, and more.
Highlights
out of the box, NeoCam has a few basic filter options: GamePal, an old GameBoy screen style look, Mermaid, a bluer color scheme, and Hope, a cool red/blue filter. There are also two gray color options. Within each filter, you can adjust exposure, pixelation, and dither strength. You can also create your own filters with your own color palettes and share/collect with the community.
NeoCam it can not only take photos, but also videos. Out of the box, it only takes square photos, although if you buy the Plus you can also shoot different aspect ratios.
Finally, you can also import and edit existing photos with these custom styles, bringing a retro look to your entire library.
Download the program
NeoCam It is available for free in the App Store for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 and later. For free, you can take photos with plenty of filters, but to record video, swap photos from your existing library, shoot different aspect ratios, and get a watermark-free experience, you’ll need NeoCam Plus, a one-time purchase of $5.99.
