Noted by developer Sam Henry Gold iOS 27 beta 2 on Twitter includes references to an upcoming Apple product codenamed B790, which will likely be AirPods with a camera.
There is Apple it has been rumored for a long time to develop a new version of AirPods Pro 3 With cameras that should bring visual intelligence to AirPods. Now, iOS 27 beta 2 offers a hint about its potential functionality.

Given the “two images from cameras on either side of the user’s head” bit, it’s almost certain that the B790 is referring to the rumored AirPods with cameras. Gold initially assumed it would be for that Apple AI glassesbut when given a codename – it probably AirPods with cameras.
A strange quirk here is that the codename in this software leak is B790, whereas Bloomberg states that the codename is B798. However, it is possible that this simply represents different stages of development.

AirPods with cameras were expected to debut sometime this year, but have since been delayed due to software bugs. Now, AirPods with cameras should debut next fall 20th anniversary iPhone.
