A full year has passed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle It was shown in cinemas in Japan and 10 months have passed record-breaking US theatrical release. Compared to the recent trend of films being released immediately after theatrical releases, it has been unavailable digitally for a long time. But good news is finally on the horizon: the film will finally be streaming on Crunchyroll later this month.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle is the first film in a trilogy that will complete the anime story. The anime, in turn, is based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga of the same name. The story follows Tanjiro, a teenager who vows to fight against the demons that killed his family and turned his sister into a demon. After he joins the Demon Slayer Corps, he absolutely starts cutting every demon that crosses his path to ribbons.
Infinity Castle It takes Tanjiro into the heart of the demons’ stronghold, pitting him against some of the toughest enemies he’s ever faced. The action and animation are completely out of control, as is typical of the series, and although the film drags a bit on its two-and-a-half-hour running time, it’s still a visual delight. Even Zenitsu isn’t as irritating as usual. This is a real feat.
The second film in the trilogy is currently in production without a set release date, although fans expect it to be sometime in 2027. In the meantime, you can stream. Infinity Castle Starts July 28th at 8:00am PT/11:00am ET. With digital pre-orders on July 4th, it will be available to purchase digitally that day as well. Now if we can just get more Inosuke in the next movie, we’ll really cook.
