Electronic Arts has named Kylian Mbappe as the cover athlete for EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition, marking the French international’s return to the cover of the franchise after a four-year hiatus.
While Mbappe has previously appeared on the covers of FIFA 21, FIFA 22 and FIFA 23, FC 27 will be his first appearance as EA Sports FC’s cover star since the rebranding of the series. He will also be the new cover athlete of EA Sports FC Mobile.
“It’s a very special moment for me to appear on the cover of an EA Sports FC title for the first time,” Mbappe said. “I am honored to continue my long relationship with the franchise in its final chapter.”
This announcement was made after Mbappe’s first two seasons at Real Madrid. According to EA, he finished as LaLiga’s top scorer in both seasons and won the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Golden Boot after scoring 15 goals in the competition.
The cover reveal is the first in a week of scheduled EA Sports FC 27 announcements. EA will release the game’s first trailer on YouTube on July 23 at 7:00 PM Saudi Arabia time, 8:00 PM in the UAE.
