Legendary Anime Studio Mappa will animate the ‘Persona 4 Revival’ Cutscenes



Mappa, the studio responsible for incredible, industry-leading animation Jujutsu Kaisen and The Man in Chainsbrings his amazing talents Persona 4 Revival. And it’s not just that opening animationas he did for Persona 5 Royale: Mappa will animate every in-game scene in the upcoming remake.

The studio reported on this Anime Expo 2026and also got a sneak peek at a cutscene with protagonist Yu Narukami facing off against Hablerie’s shadow. This is only the second time in Mappa’s history that the company has made all the cutscenes in a video game. (The first time was 2025 Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road.) And yet Personality 4 It doesn’t quite have the level of violence and gore that Mappa is adept at producing, but there’s still plenty of room for stylistic flourishes and brutal animation. Persona 5 Royale The opening did such a good job setting the tone of the game that the rest of the cutscenes paled in comparison. We will not worry about that Persona 4 Revival.

On the panel, Atlus also included Abby Trott (Infinity Nikki) would provide the English voice of Rise in the game. She joins the previously announced English voice cast of Nazeeh Tarsha as Yu Narukami, Paul Castro Jr as Yosuke Hanamura, Anne Yatco as Chie Satonaka and Brianna Knickerbocker as Yukiko Amagi.

Persona 4 Revival Released on February 18, 2027 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
