Motorola’s new Razr foldable devices are now available for pre-order in the US, with the flip phones and book-style Razr Fold shipping later this month.
Motorola Razr (2026) series consists of three new clamshell foldable devices – Razr (2026), Razr+ (2026) and Razr Ultra (2026). Simply put, these are not phones you want to pre-order for two reasons.
For the Razr+ and Razr Ultra, this results in the phones remaining largely unchanged from their predecessors — and in the case of the Razr+, not even the 2024 model. Updated hinge hardware, some battery upgrades and new colors are all you have to offer, and for a great price.
The Razr+ (2026) is $1,099 and the Razr Ultra (2026) is $1,499. As you’ve heard, that’s a tough price to swallow for minimal adjustments our podcast, Side load.
The base Motorola Razr (2026) is still a good choice despite the price hike. Its new colors look great and the new primary camera is a welcome upgrade too – stay tuned for more hands-on coverage soon!
But all three of these phones will see big price cuts in the coming months. With that and minimal changes to consider, pre-orders don’t make much sense. However, if you really want to get these phones right away, you can head over to Motorola.com or Best Buy.
One device worth pre-ordering is the Motorola Razr Fold. The company’s first book-style foldable in the week we first used it excellentand while its $1,899 price tag is also likely to see some cuts in the coming months, it stacks up well against the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the US market, and its price actually feels worth it.
