Rumors started this week from several different sources. The first stems from it Galaxy Club (Netherlands), claims the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27 Plus could get camera tech from a new company (via GSMArena). Samsung usually replaces its internal Exynos chips with Qualcomm when its phones are launched in other markets (non-Korea or Europe). Now, rumors claim that Samsung may ditch the camera sensor ISOCELL in favor of Sony.
Citing information from an unnamed source, the publication tells Sony that this swap is “being tested” for the main sensor of the S27 and S27 Plus. Early tests suggest that this sensor will come in 50MP, and that’s only if testing goes well and we see the results. The Galaxy S27 rumors don’t end there, tipster Lanzuk In Naver (Korea) reports that the phones may receive a familiar battery update.

Lanzuk claims that its silicon-carbon battery technology is currently “undergoing application testing” for Samsung’s next phones.
