Following on from last week Neural expressive redesignThe Gemini app features a basic chat experience and new voices for Gemini Live.
Go to Gemini Settings > Gemini voice for the redesigned voice picker. Instead of a carousel, you get a list. Flare and Glow are two new additions that replace Nova (Quiet • Medium volume) and Lyra (Bright • High volume).

Gemini has done away with voiceovers with this redesign.
Meanwhile, widget layouts are unchanged from before, but all icons have been updated. Neural Expressive uses fine outlines for Microphone, Camera, Gallery, File, Video, Screen Sharing and Live. It is rolled out via a server-side update with the latest version of Gemini (1.0.913571982). “app”/home screen shortcut.
On a related note, Google app 17.26 this week updates the Drive icon in the “plus” menu to the latest style.
