SAS Rogue Heroes
A history of war with a jolt of anarchy
Jack O’Connell (Not broken), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones) and Connor Swindells (Sex Education) star SAS: Rogue HeroesA riotous, turbocharged retelling of how Britain’s most elite rebel fighting force came to be. In the hit action series, which boasts a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, Knight trades his stiff, upper-lipped stoicism for punk rock mayhem, giving us a group of badass soldiers who swear, ignore rules, and drink too much.
During World War II, an eccentric young officer is hospitalized after a training exercise accident. Bored, he devises a radical plan after coming to the conclusion that the accepted methods of warfare are wrong. So he enlists the toughest, bravest, and brightest soldiers into a small secret unit whose sole purpose is to cause mayhem behind enemy lines. They are as complex, flawed and reckless as they are rebellious, amazingly brave and heroic above all else.

Great Expectations
This is a pearl clutcher
A historical drama in six parts, Great Expectations Based on the 1861 novel by Charles Dickens. Reimagined by Knight as a dark, snarling, adaptation beast, the limited series is filled with adult-only content such as slapping, profanity, sex work, suicide, self-harm and lots of opium, all fueled by its bad-boy appeal. The show is executive produced by Knight alongside Tom Hardy and Ridley Scott.
Our plot follows Pip’s journey to adulthood (Dunkirk‘s Fionn Whitehead), an orphan blacksmith’s apprentice who rises to high society as a “gentleman” after securing a fortune from a secret benefactor, only to discover the dark truth behind his wealth and true love. Expect Knight’s trademark exploration of dark themes such as addiction, violence and corruption not explored in the original novel.
Great Expectations Available to stream on Hulu.

Home of Guinness
Luxurious, Irish, historical version Inheritance
Home of Guinness Dramatizing the story of Ireland’s most famous brewing family, this 8-part drama focuses on the family’s passion for life. Inspired by real family members, Knight combines historical fact with fictional intrigue to create tense family dynamics and high-stakes business maneuvers.
Set in 1860s Dublin, the plot follows the infighting, addictions and secrets of the Guinness brothers after their father’s death, highlighting the wild nature of the dynasty and exploring how their dead father’s estate affects their struggle for power. Knight also demonstrates the difficult challenges of running a giant brewery, including labor struggles, corporate strategy, and expansion. There is also some sharp political tension stemming from the prominent Irish Republican Brotherhood, which was engaged in opposition to the family’s unionist policies and links with England.

Look
Think Daredevil was enveloped in tribal savagery
Apart from that Peaky Blindersone of my favorite Steven Knight series LookA 3-part dystopian sci-fi drama set in a brutal, primitive future where everyone is blind. As both creator and writer, Knight’s influence is everywhere. In addition to the series’ world-building, character dynamics, and fast-paced, enigmatic atmosphere, it created an existence based on echoes, scent-tracked battles, and intimate, close-quarter combat. This is delicious.
Fewer than 2 million people survived after a 21st century virus wiped out most of Earth’s population. They were blind when they emerged. A few centuries later, humanity reverted to tribal, hunter-gatherer, and medieval-type societies with new ways of interacting, communicating, building, providing, and surviving. In this new world, sight is just a myth… until it isn’t. A sighted man roams the landscape, impregnating women to start a new race. Jason Momoa stars as the brutal warrior Baba Voss, the violent leader of the main tribe and the non-biological father of twins born with mythical vision. Now it’s up to him to protect not only his family, but also his clan and the landscape from an evil that wants to control it.

A thousand blows
Naked fights and an all-female criminal gang
Another favorite of Steven Knight A thousand blowsIt premiered in 2025 and became the perfect replacement for Peaky Blinders fans. The perfectly acted period drama has a crazy character driven narrative with outstanding performances Adolescence Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty with Malachi Kirby Roots.
Instead of 1900s Birmingham, we’re rooted in the gritty and gritty streets of London’s East End in the late 1800s, focusing on the area’s gangs and strip boxing scene. Don’t let gore and gore distract you from what’s going on here, which is a group of outsiders, the underclass, boldly and fearlessly embracing what society has long denied. Where Peaky Blinders focuses on all-male support, A thousand blows The first all-female criminal gang, the Forty Elephants, actually existed. The 2-part series is engrossing and engaging, and thanks to the swift gods, more is on the way.
A thousand blows Available to stream on Hulu.

Taboo
Gothic dream of fire
Written by Knight with father-son duo Chips and Tom Hardy, Taboo is dark, angry, scandalously provocative and downright brutal, calling it a a must watch crime drama. It weaves espionage, colonial criticism and secret whispers into a gritty revenge tale not for the faint of heart. It looks a little like it Peaky Blinders about absinthe, with a nod to Shakespeare’s daddy issues.
Set in 1814, during the War of 1812, against the backdrop of bustling 19th-century London and the rise of the East India Trading Company, our story follows adventurer and business tycoon James Delaney (Hardy) as he returns home after his late father is presumed dead to inherit his shipping empire. Not only does she have to deal with enemies and conspiracies, but she also has to deal with her scheming half-sister and husband, who along with EITC are trying to rule the empire and eliminate James. It’s old-world sleaze and charm, and there’s more on the way.
Taboo is currently available to stream on Prime Video and Peacock.
while Peaky Blinders Arguably Knight’s best and most obsessive series to date, it’s not the only series worth watching over and over again, and it certainly won’t be his last.
