Pebblebee, known for its Android Find Hub / Apple Find My trackers, has introduced some new battery-free ID tags that help recover lost bags and also give your pets a means of identification.

The first “Link Bag Tag,” a simple QR code that travels through the Pebblebee network to help recover lost items. It’s designed specifically for luggage, with a TSA-compliant design, a tamper-evident design, and the same battery-free, universal support as Link stickers.
You can customize the landing page, but it always includes the necessary information, as well as a way to personally communicate with the person who found your item, even if you don’t want to share a phone number or email address.

Pebblebee also has a new QR tag for pets called “Collar ID”.
The basis of this is the same. You put a tag on your pet’s collar, install the tail end, and then someone can scan the code to help you reunite with your lost pet. The label here is more durable, with Pebblebee saying it’s “chew resistant” and waterproof. Label measures 1.26 inches x 1.73 inches.
In the Pebblebee app, you can mark a pet’s “Collar ID” as “lost,” which can also include the last seen date and instructions for anyone who finds the pet and scans the code. It also automatically posts your pet’s information to local pet registries, including the name and photo you use in the Pebblebee app. Once someone finds your pet, they can chat with you through Pebblebee’s service, no phone number needed.
The Pebblebee Collar ID is $14.95 by personality.
None of these can replace the active tracker that Pebblebee sells for the Android Find Hub and Apple Find My, but they serve as great alternatives or even companions in the case of a bag. For example, you can still throw a Clip in a bag and have a QR code as a backup if the battery dies or someone other than the airline tracks your bag.
