Pixel Watch 5 specs leak without chip update, but more RAM


Pixel Watch 5 is expected to look the same to last year’s model, but the similarities may also extend to the specs and chips.

According to the Google Play Console, the Pixel Watch 5 is codenamed “godric”. It could be a portmanteau like previous generations.

From this listing, Google uses the “Qualcomm SW5100,” which will be the same core chip as the Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4. The CPU and GPU are unchanged from last year:

  • CPU: 4x ARM Cortex-A53 (1700 MHz)
  • GPU: Qualcomm Adreno 702 (1000 MHz)

Recall that Google started using the 4nm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 with the Pixel Watch 2. The Pixel Watch 4 has seen an upgrade to the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 for Satellite SOS, while the co-processor has moved from the ARM Cortex-M33 to the M55.

Today’s entry doesn’t mention a co-processor, so it could be upgraded, but it’s likely that Google will reuse the same platform.

Samsung’s for comparison Galaxy Watch 9 It uses 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite With 1x Cortex-A78 and 4x Cortex-A55.

Meanwhile, the Pixel Watch 5 appears to have 3GB of RAM, the first upgrade from 2GB since Google’s foray into wearables. This probably helps unlock Gemini’s Intelligence. Brand new 2GB Samsung wearable stick.

Finally, this listing includes an image (as seen in the cover image above) that matches what was previously leaked. Gemini has a new analog watch face with the Neural Expressive design language.
