Prime Video presents the full trailer for Spider-Noir

If your spider-sense is tingling, maybe it’s because Prime Video has released the official full trailer for the upcoming live-action series. Spider-Black, at CCXPMX26 weekend in Mexico City. As with the first teaser in February, the streaming platform released the trailer in two formats: one in black-and-white (above) – very Raymond Chandler-esque – and one in color (below), which the showrunners call “True Hue”.

as previously reportedMarvel Comics created the noir line in 2009, usually reinterpreting familiar Marvel characters in an alternate universe set during the Great Depression in the United States. A version of the Spider-Noir character voiced by Cage briefly appeared in the animated masterpieces, Spider-Man: To the Spider-Verse (2018) and Between the Spider-Verse (2023). (He is set to reprise that role in an upcoming film Beyond the Spider-Verse.)

Showrunner (with Steve Lightfoot) Oren Uziel is a fan of film noir, so the Marvel series naturally appealed to him. The live-action series is still set in 1930s New York, but the spider isn’t superhero Peter Parker. (Uziel thought the Parker character was too relatable to the tomboyish high school type who didn’t really fit the noir vibe.) So Cage plays Ben Reilly, Spider-Man, with a secret superhero identity. According to official information: “Spider-Black It tells the story of Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to deal with his past life after a deep personal tragedy as the city’s only superhero.
