This upcoming device seems to break away from recent 16:9 trends to offer what classic gamers have been begging for: a custom 4:3 aspect ratio display paired with a gorgeous, modern OLED panel. For fans of retro emulation, the 4:3 OLED panel is holy grail. Older consoles like the NES, SNES, PlayStation 1, and Nintendo 64 natively display this near-square format, so you’ll get perfect scale on a 4:3 display without the ugly black column boxes on the sides. Combining this shape with the infinite contrast ratio of the OLED display will give old titles a completely updated look.
