There is still some uncertainty behind these rumors, but given the current climate of the smartphone market, there may be merit. The tipster claims that Samsung won’t “change” the Galaxy S27’s main camera in any meaningful way. Speculations lead us to believe that the device will be very similar to what we got with the Galaxy S26.

These rumors may disappoint users who like the smaller, entry-level flagship Galaxy. I would imagine that this will be the result of the company trying to manage an exciting new generation of phones, while at the same time giving users something a little more “affordable”. It’s still pretty early, so we’ll have to wait a while to find out how true these rumors are, and whether the Galaxy S27 will take a hit or not.
On the other hand, the tipster suggests that Samsung may not upgrade the “display materials” for the S27. The current market climate plays a role here. Lanzuk claims that the OEM has “frozen cost growth factors,” hinting that potentially any S27 display upgrade will increase its price.

Not much has been said about the base Galaxy S27, and maybe there’s a reason for that. However, there was a rumor that could affect future consumers of this model. Reports claim that Samsung might the next serial UFS 5.0 storage updatebut may not come for every phone. Rumor has it that only “certain” models will see it, so if we’re being realistic here, it’s likely the Ultra will be involved.
Nothing is set in stone (except that it is a rumor). Apparently, Samsung is considering how the phone prices will increase with this upgrade, as well as “mass production costs”. More interesting is the rumor that Samsung claims to be working on it proper Qi2 integration and camera redesign to make it happen. It’s unclear how drastic this “redesign” might be. That being said, the cameras need to move in order for Samsung to place the Qi2 magnets in the phones.
