For more than a year, Marvel has been saying goodbye to the multiverse, where it focused on multiple universes The Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. In an interview with Fandango, Kevin Feige dropped a few cryptic teases about this new duology. As he said, the two films will be linked “in a very different way” than how they were Infinity War and End of the game surgery was done. Before the official name, End of the game at first it was just “Infinity War Part II,” and anyone expecting another “Part I/Part II” scenario should probably adjust their expectations.
In fact, for many of the swings that Marvel has taken Avengers: Judgment Day, sounds like Secret Wars will take some real big ones. Feige called it “as ambitious a project as we’ve ever embarked on.” Big words, but not entirely unexpected given the MCU’s lineage over the years. The Multiverse Saga is all over the place, but it’s been clear for years that Marvel wanted it to go out with a bang and use it as an opportunity to do things it couldn’t do before. legally or creatively.
