Google Health 5.04 is rolling out today with a focus on nutrition updates — a big complaint from the original redesign — and other bug fixes.
Version 5.04 Available on iOS and rolling to Android. This follows the widespread availability of the latest update the beginning of this week.
Complete list improvements and corrections divided into five categories:
Nutrition Updates
- Serving special meals: You can now create, edit and delete custom feeds for more personalized and easy access. You can also search for and re-enter custom foods that have been created.
- Quick access calories and macro estimates: You can now enter by simply adding calories and macronutrients without searching for or adding a specific food name.
- Macronutrient %s corrections: Fixed an issue where the macronutrient calculation as a percentage of total calories was incorrect for some users.
Sleep Updates
- Naps that fall into the afternoon: Based on our recent improvements to afternoon hours tracking, your naps will now count towards your total sleep duration shown in the tiles on the Today tab.
Fitness and Activity Updates
- Fixed cropped HR charts and maps in workout summaries: We fixed an issue where some users were sometimes seeing incomplete heart rate charts and maps that didn’t reflect the full duration of the exercise.
Cycle Health Updates
- Easier trend views:You can now see your period history grouped chronologically by year, making it easier to manage your long-term data and see trends.
Friends and Leaderboard updates
- Invite friends: We fixed an issue where some iOS users were unable to successfully initiate new friend requests.
