Synology FS200T All-Flash NAS Released for Small Offices and Home Users

Synology announced its availability FlashStation FS200Tcompact all-flash NAS designed for home offices, small businesses and users who need faster local storage without a large or noisy desktop unit.

The FS200T is built around six 2.5-inch SSD bays and is designed for workloads such as personal cloud storage, device backup, file sharing, and lightweight containerization or virtualization. Synology says the system is aimed at users who want responsive flash performance in a small form factor that can fit comfortably in a home or office environment.

The NAS measures 121 x 151 x 175mm and includes built-in 2.5GbE and 1GbE ports. According to Synology, the network setup supports faster file transfers than its predecessor, while also providing redundancy. The company also says the device supports third-party SSDs without functional limitations, while Synology’s own SSDs remain an approved option on the compatibility list.

Like Synology’s other NAS systems, the FS200T runs on DiskStation Manager or DSM. It gives users access to Synology Drive to build a private cloud, sync files between devices, and support distributed teams. It also supports Active Backup Suite, which can protect Windows, Linux, and macOS devices, as well as virtual machines and cloud accounts.

“Offering an extremely small footprint along with silent operation and responsive flash performance, the FS200T is ideal for hobbyists experimenting with lightweight containerization and virtualization, or home users who prefer a quiet workspace,” Synology product manager Julien Chen said in the announcement.

The FS200T is available from May 27, 2026 through Synology’s network of partners and resellers. Synology did not provide UAE or Saudi Arabia pricing in the announcement, so regional buyers will have to check for local reseller availability.

The startup gives small offices and advanced home users another choice between mainstream consumer NAS systems and larger business storage boxes. Its all-flash design should appeal most to teams that value silent operation, fast local access, and Synology’s backup and private cloud software ecosystem over maximum raw power.
