“Our teams are actively working on reports of technical issues affecting some customers. Any service impacts are being addressed and are our highest priority. We know how important it is to stay connected and all available resources are focused on resolving this as quickly as possible.”
Update #1, 3:00 PM PT: Some T-Mobile users are reporting that service has returned to their iPhones. Others say the hiatus continues.

T-Mobile is down, iPhones are in “SOS” mode
Data collected by Lower detector indicates that the T-Mobile outage began around 4:00 PM ET/1:00 PM PT. The outage appears to be widespread, with users in the United States reporting problems with their service.

There are iPhone users affected by the outage We see the sign “SOS”. in their device’s status bar. This indicates that there is no network connection. If you’re seeing this on your iPhone, it means T-Mobile isn’t working in your area due to an outage. However, you can still make emergency calls.
At this time, T-Mobile has not commented on the outage, and it is unclear when it will be fixed. Other carriers, including Verizon and AT&T, don’t appear to be working either.
