Well, that was fast. Boys the series finale wrapped just two days ago, but Prime Video is clearly looking to build on that momentum by releasing the first teaser for the prequel series. Vought Rising. With a spinoff series Gene V canceled after two seasons Vought Rising and planned Boys: Mexico must carry the franchise banner.

Boys‘ Season five set up the final showdown between Antony Starr’s Homeland and Karl Urban’s Butcher – the former looking for the original V compound that would make him immortal, and the latter trying to commit genocide with a Supe-specific virus. The native succeeded in his quest, but he was not an entirely untouchable god. There were heavy casualties on both sides of the conflict (especially RIP Frenchie) and the Homelander was ultimately defeated and killed by the vengeful Butcher. (Starr still hasn’t received the Emmy he so richly deserves; his portrayal was simply superb.)
According to the official logline: “The prequel series, set in the 1950s, explores the twisted origins of Vought International. The teaser offers a devilish first look at the world and story that will define this next evolution of the franchise.” According to series creator Eric Kripke, Supes in this prequel starts out in the military before moving on to the more glamorous private sector – eventually becoming Vought International. Considering this and the period, Supes’ costume designs were inspired by USO performers.
Jensen Ackles reprises his role as Ben/Soldier Boy while still harboring patriotic ideals, along with Aya Cash, who is memorable as Supe, a secret Nazi, Stormfront (aka Clara Vought). Boys. Mason Dye reprises his role as Robbie/Bombsight (also from S5), Will Hochman as Torpedo, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel, and Ethan Slater reprises his role. Gene V The role of Thomas Godolkin. (Other characters from the franchise series may also appear, Kripke said.) The main cast also includes KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri and Brian J. Smith in yet-to-be-disclosed roles.
Vought Rising It will premiere on Prime Video in 2027.
