The delayed Apple TV series ‘The Savant’ will finally air this summer

Jessica Chastain thriller series, Savantwas first broadcast Apple TV last September. But the company decided to cancel the launch at the eleventh hour. Star Jessica Chastain said ‘not suitable’ with Apple according to the decision. As the months passed, many doubted that the series would ever air.

But finally, Chesten himself confirmed to Variety that “we’ll see.” Variety indicates that Apple is targeting a July release date, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.

In the TV app listing for the show, Savant it is still labeled as a 2025 series with the message “to come later”. The page has not been updated since September, when the launch was postponed indefinitely.

But no doubt Chastain herself was informed that the series was back on the schedule. In an interview with Variety, he says: “It used to be, I don’t know if we will see it, but now I can say that we will.” We can assume that an official announcement is imminent.

Although Apple has never given a clear reason for its decision to cancel the release last year, Savant explores the topics of online hate groups, domestic terrorism and extremism. The plot appears to coincide closely with the recent assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk, much to Apple’s liking. Despite this, star and producer Chastain made it clear that she did not agree with the decision.

The relationship between Streamer and Chastain remained friendly throughout. In addition to The Savant, Chastian is also currently filming The Off Weeks, a new limited series starring Ben Stiller for Apple. She will also star in another Apple TV drama, The Dealer, alongside Adam Driver.
