What you need to know
- Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Pro has allegedly appeared on the GSMA database listing alongside three other models.
- In the list, the phone is named directly by its unique model number.
- Previous rumors have claimed that Samsung is looking to expand its Galaxy S27 lineup with a fourth model, which could feature a 6.4-inch display with “Ultra-like” features.
Rumors have been hinting at what we might see from Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series for months. Now there’s a report that says the alleged device could be real.
Eagle eyes OVRPlus claims that the GSMA database now (allegedly) lists the new Galaxy S model we’ve seen in rumours: the Galaxy S27 Pro (via) SamMobile). The publication states that the device is listed under the model number SM-S957B/DS. Moreover, the listing details the manufacturer as Samsung and the “market name” of the device as “Galaxy S27 Pro”.
Usually, listings from the GSMA carry weight, but remember that nothing is confirmed until Samsung says so.
The publication continued to search and found that the database list contains model numbers and names for other Galaxy S27 series phones. The company has published listings for the flagship Galaxy S27, S27 Plus and S27 Ultra. These three phones were expected as it has become common for Samsung’s flagship series.
Pro on the go?
The latest leak regarding the Galaxy S27 Pro has arrived From a report from South Korea It said it could bring “Ultra-like” features. The report stated that Samsung intends to expand the Galaxy S series next year with one additional model: the S27 Pro. The Pro doesn’t have an S Pen, though rumors suggest it might offer an experience closer to the Ultra.
Moreover, Samsung may give the S27 Pro a Privacy Screen. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the introduction of a fourth model to the Galaxy S lineup. My colleague Sanuj Bhatia reminded us all Galaxy S25 Edgewhich did not perform well. Whether the S27 Pro is just an experiment remains to be seen. On the other hand, specification rumors have emerged He said he could offer a 6.4-inch screen for the S27 Pro.
Such a screen would place it between the flagship Galaxy S model and the Galaxy S Plus if we look at Samsung’s history. The Pro can also grab the Ultra’s main and ultra-wide cameras; but the difference might be in its telephoto.
Android Central’s Take
The Galaxy S27 Pro will definitely shake things up. I think the screen size will also make it interesting as these rumors say. The Pro won’t be as big as the Ultra, but it will have the same features. I can see this phone appealing to people who like the features of an Ultra, but don’t enjoy holding such a large phone every day.
