Price rumors are talking about Samsung’s next wave of products this year, and what they say might surprise you.
A post WinFuture Samsung claims a series of price hikes for its upcoming foldable watches and clocks (via Android Headlines). The publication cites its “reliable sources” as saying that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 “Ultra”, which was previously claimed to be the successor to the Fold 7, could see a €100 (~$114) increase for the 256GB entry option. It claims that consumers looking to maximize storage with the 1TB variant could see a price increase of €280 (~$320).
That would make the 1 TB variant ~€2,799 (~$3,201). The “Spacious” Fold 8 we’ve been hearing about could see a price tag of €1,999 (~$2,286) for the 256GB model.
The article states that the starting price of Galaxy Z Flip 8 may increase by 100 euros. Moreover, the starting prices of the 40mm Bluetooth Galaxy Watch 9 and its 44mm variant may increase by €40 and €30 (~$45, ~$34), respectively. As for the Watch Ultra 2, the report claims that it could go up by €50 (~$57).
Of course, nothing is set in stone. These are rumours. Also, US dollar estimates are just estimates. Samsung usually varies these prices slightly to match the market in which the device will be sold. Consider this. We expect Samsung to debut its next products in July, but there are other things we need to discuss first.
What can we see?
Earlier this week claimed specifications Samsung’s wide foldable device has been revealed for the first time. We “knew” that this phone would occupy a wider position than before; However, tipster Tarun Vats speculates that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (now the wider variant) could sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD Plus display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Inside, consumers can find a 7.6-inch Quad HD Plus display with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The device is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 4800 mAh battery. Cameras was another topic of conversation back in May. These reports suggest that the wider Fold’s cameras won’t be as interesting as its shape. Supposedly, the company releases the lens. We can only see a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. In principle, we can lose a telephoto, which is the standard Fold that we are used to, to look a little more attractive.
Android Central’s Take
These rumors can be confusing. We have many name changes and it is not approved. Samsung recently started a marketing campaign After completely deleting your Instagram account. Next, teasing foldables takes a different approach. This means that we users have to become detectives and figure out what’s going on. I think I’m more interested in finally seeing what these phones have to offer than considering these rumors.
