I wrote about it earlier this week A marketing scandal broke out in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Fast forward a few days and we have action.
It all revolves around one seller, Mscenery, who – there’s no other word for it – scams people. Poor quality work full of problems, AI images and highly questionable ratings are on the table.
After the issue gained significant attention online, Microsoft released an update, and it’s good news; Mscenery is given the old heave-ho. The Microsoft flight simulator The Community Manager sent the following message official forums.
We’d like to share an important update regarding the content available in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 in-game markets.
Over time, we’ve received a significant amount of feedback from the community on products developed by Mscenery. After receiving numerous complaints regarding 1) the low quality of Mscenery content, 2) lack of information and misleading images in product descriptions, and 3) the reliability of high user scores, we have decided to stop offering Mscenery content for sale on the Marketplace effective immediately.
For customers who have already purchased Mscenery products, rest assured that your existing purchases will be available and usable as always. This change only affects new sales of their content within the Marketplace.
We greatly value feedback and engagement from the flight simulation community, and decisions like these are not taken lightly. Your contribution continues to play an important role in helping us maintain a high-quality and reliable Marketplace experience for all brewers.
Thank you for your continued support and helping us improve Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Sincerely,
Microsoft Flight Simulator Team
In this case, it’s a win for society and the market will immediately look a little better. What we need to see going forward are processes to ensure that this does not happen again.
While this message is one Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 fans will be ecstatic to hear, is not talking about what may or may not be happening on that front. But one step – the scammer is gone.
