Paramount+ has released a new teaser for its upcoming fourth season Star Trek: Strange New Worlds weekend at CCXP in Mexico City.

The third season Strange new worlds Admittedly, it was a bit uneven, with serious storylines mixed in with some downright silly ones that divided fans. Arguably the most iconic moment was Melanie Scrofano saying goodbye to Marie Batel’s love interest, Pike (Anson Mount). Her parting gift for Pike: an imaginary alternate life where she grows old with Pike. So expect Pike to deal with his loss in the upcoming season, among other challenges.
A four and a half minute clip from S4 was opened at New York Comic-Con last October. It was a long sequence where Pike and his crew respond to a distress call from another ship, only to encounter a massive space storm that knocks out nearly all of their systems. They decide to take a shuttle to a nearby planet to collect much-needed iridium to power their warp drive. We also know there will be a puppet episode, and if the new teaser is any indication, there will be a Wild West-like setting and even dinosaurs, because why not? Overall, though, the new teaser confirms a return to a more serious Trekkie tone.
