There is reportedly no build-your-own smartwatch under $300

Finally, nothing beats a smartwatch, and this sounds like the perfect introduction to making the switch to Wear OS.

Although it sounds like there is Some confusion behind the scenes in nothingthe company is breaking new ground along with new products. Next on the list seems to be the Nothing smartwatch.

Leaker Yogesh Brar claims Nothing is set to launch its first self-branded smartwatch in September, which will be priced “below” US$300 and will be available in “limited markets” with a design that follows the usual Nothing aesthetic.

Of course, this will not be the first smartwatch from the Nothing brand. The company’s CMF sub-brand has already released two smartwatches aimed at budget customers, but never a smartwatch directly from Nothing — and this CMF hours rough.

The “under $300” detail is also evident. CMF clocks in at under $100 and thus runs on a lightweight RTOS. If there’s something more expensive on the table, there’s a reason it might be more powerful, perhaps running Google’s Wear OS. Assuming it’s in the $250-$300 market, that would put it well below the Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch lineup, but it’s not like we haven’t seen more affordable Wear OS watches before. I, for one, hope that this is what he does not plan to do.
