- Galaxy S27 Pro rumors started back in April, and the device is still set to serve as an Ultra alternative.
Some people are probably still on the fence about the Galaxy S26 series, but that doesn’t stop these Galaxy S27 rumors from talking about a “Pro” addition.
report from ETNews (Korea) Samsung claims to be working on next year’s Galaxy S27 “Pro” and details an OLED display (via 9 to 5 Google). The rumor suggests that Samsung is working on a display that has “never been attempted before.” While that statement sounds grand, the report says it could come down to the size of the screen.
According to claims, the Galaxy S27 Pro is made with a 6.4-inch OLED panel. If true, then it will find itself between the base model and the Plus; but that may be its only relation to these two phones. The publication cites its sources as saying that the Galaxy S27 Pro may “share” more specifications with the Ultra. Moreover, it claims that Samsung may go this route to “expand consumer choices”. On a related note, there was another S27 Pro report highlighted his camera (via GSMArena).
Ice Universe reported on Chinese social media platform Weibo that the S27 Pro may have the “same” main and ultra-wide cameras as the Ultra. What’s more, the company could change things up by incorporating “all-new sensors” for these lenses. The only advantage the reviewer discussed was telephoto, as the S27 Pro could stand out in this regard.
Is the Pro real this time?
We started to buy The Galaxy S27 Pro has been rumored for April, and we’re not sure if this is another example of the boy crying wolf. According to the rumours, the S27 series will consist of four phones. The fourth is the S27 Pro. Similar to a statement from EtNews, these rumors also say the Pro will bring “Ultra-like features” but ditch the S Pen for a more compact design.
This is what makes us a little hesitant We’ve heard rumors of a “Pro”. Also for Galaxy S26 series. Such a phone was missing from Samsung’s January Unpacked, so these rumors have restarted their engines for the S27 series. We’re only in May, and the Galaxy S27 series isn’t expected until early 2027 anyway. We have time to see if these rumors have any basis.
Android Central’s Take
Hearing “Pro” for a phone feels a bit normal. Samsung doesn’t have a Pro model (no pun intended). We are usually treated to a basic phone, Plus and Ultra. While these new rumors give us an idea of what it might bring, Samsung may be trying to avoid a few lines. A smaller screen for consumers who don’t like an ultra-high-end screen but have built-ins to give a little more. Things are interesting right now.
