Desktop devices are constantly evolving. As much of our work process and desk revolves around ever-changing technology, the products we use every day naturally change along with it. But one thing I’ve noticed over the years is that if I invest a little more in premium accessories, they last longer. There will always be room for budget-conscious products, but again, the accessories I return to are usually well-built, thoughtfully designed, and improve my overall workflow. Whether for gaming, work, or leisure, I wanted to share some of my favorite premium desk accessories that will benefit anyone’s setup.
Be sure to watch our video to see all of these accessories in action!
I reviewed Satechi CubeDock a few months ago and it quickly became the centerpiece of my setup. I needed something that offered multiple ports, fast Thunderbolt 5 speeds, looked good, and delivered consistent performance. The Satechi CubeDock did that and more.
Main features and characteristics
- Thunderbolt 5 docking station
- Bandwidth up to 120Gbps
- 140W laptop charging
- Internal NVMe SSD enclosure
- Supports PCIe Gen 4 SSDs up to 8 TB
- SSD speed up to 6000MB/s
- Multiple display support up to 8K
- 2.5 Gb Ethernet
- USB-C/A 10Gbps ports
- UHS-II SD and microSD card readers
- Active cooling system

What sets it apart from the rest is its built-in SSD expansion. It really made my workflow easier because now I always have a stockpile of footage that I can work with and go back to. This helps keep my MacBook Pro memory clean while still getting ultra-fast transfer speeds. Combine that with 140W fast charging, multi-display support, and a one-cable setup, and it was perfect for my use cases. It also helps that it’s literally identical to the M4 Mac mini!
The The Satechi CubeDock is available on Amazon and for the Satechi store 399 dollars.
I’m a big fan of this new wave and trend of high powered desktop charging stations. I’ve done a ton of testing over the past two years. There are so many good ones out there and you can find one to suit any particular need. But CUKTECH 30 Ultra What does peak charging performance look like? It provides up to 300W of charging output, and like the Satechi CubeDock, it has a feature you rarely see.
Main features and characteristics
- 300W total power output
- Dedicated DC power output
- Dual 140W USB-C PD 3.1 charging
- 5-port charging setup
- Real-time digital display
- Active cooling and thermal management
- 240W USB-C cable included

Of course, the show stopper is the 1.8-inch diagnostic screen. It gives you all the readings you want. From amp, volt and watt readings to temperature and wave graphs and even tells you what brand of product is being charged. I love that they kept one USB-A port for people like me who still occasionally use USB-A. They’ve also included a DC output port for people using products like gaming laptops, and it can deliver a full 300W of power to a single device with the included DC output port and cable. Very niche but great to have.
The The CUKTECH 30 Ultra is available on Amazon for $159, but the product page has a 10% off coupon, bringing it to the bottom right 145 dollars.
As you get wiser with age, you realize the importance of a comfortable, ergonomic chair. I sit at my desk for 8-10 hours a day (sometimes I stand). So having a chair designed to handle it is extremely important. I recently updated my chair LiberNovo Omni, and man, am I impressed!
Main features and characteristics
- Dynamic ergonomic support
- Stretching of the inner spine
- It extends from 105° to 160°
- The armrests slide back 100 mm
- Rechargeable battery, up to 30 days of daily use per charge
- Built-in massage function
- Strong waist adjustment

What sets it apart is how adjustable and dynamic everything is. From the seating position, height adjustment, headrest and massage feature, it’s like sitting on a cloud. The memory foam seat is incredibly comfortable during my long editing sessions and I was surprised how much I enjoyed the massage features. At first I thought it would be a little tricky, but I use it every day.
Although it is not as expensive as Herman Miller, a Premium desk chair starting at $929. Five years ago I would have laughed at this price for a chair, but like I said, the older you get, the more you understand why these premium chairs are so popular. Investment is worthwhile for the right person.
This is the longest running product on this list. It has been living on my desk for over three years now. You might wonder what’s so special about a desktop. But there’s a ton to like about Orbitkey’s desk mat, as it quietly adds functionality to something that usually only does one thing.
Main features and characteristics
- Made from vegan leather
- Secret document storage unit
- Magentic cable forming rail system
- Felt bottom for table protection

The magnetic cable management system at the top of the table mat is genius. It is so well done. You use the included magnetic organizers and place them anywhere on the track system to make it easy to grab cables for your peripherals as needed. The second awesome feature is that it is double layered. So you can lift up the vegan leather part and slide in brochures, blank paper, or anything that’s flat. Such a great way to keep documents around but out of sight. So you can reach them when you need them.
The Orbitkey table mat comes in several sizes. I have the XL version which is $99. They also have a slim version for $85. Comes in two colors, black and stone (mostly white)
This is one of the most recommended mice you will ever see. Youtubers have been recommending these for years. It took me a while to get on the plane because I still had a Logitech Anywhere mouse that worked great. But after getting my hands on the MX master 4, I finally understood the appeal.
Main features and characteristics
- Haptic Sense Panel
- Dynamic Actions Ring overlays
- MagSpeed scroll wheel
- Scrolls up to 1000 lines per second
- USB-C charging
- Bluetooth and USB-C dongle connectivity
- Thumb scroll wheel
- Silent click buttons
- Ergonomic design
- Multi-device support
while Logitech Between the Master 3 and Master 4 it has made some awesome improvements like the new touchpad and productivity-focused shortcuts, the real reason I love this mouse is how comfortable and elegant it feels. The scroll wheel, silent clicks, side thumb slide and overall ergonomics are best in class. It really changed what I was looking for in a mouse and I find myself using it for years to come.
The The Logitech Mx Master 4 retails for $119 and comes in two colors: black and white.
Final thoughts
The best thing about any desktop installation is that it’s personal and subjective. What works for one person may not work for another. So I like to take pieces from other people’s tabletop setups to see if they match mine. But I’ve learned that nothing beats the longevity of a more premium product. Pride lasting 5+ years is becoming increasingly rare. So when I find something I like, I make sure to stick with it. And these accessories are built to last and make my life even better while working at this desk for 8+ hours a day.
What are your thoughts on these accessories? What’s one accessory you can’t live without? Let’s discuss below!
