What you need to know
- Thinborne drew a classic; it debuted an early set of Pixel 11 cases, and there’s one surprising change: a wider camera bar cutout.
- Of course, nothing is confirmed by Google, but the wider camera could be to accommodate the rumored Pixel Glow LED flash.
- Rumors about the Pixel Glow are divided, as some claim it could be a light bar, while others claim it will be housed inside a bar.
Nothing is official, but that’s not stopping Thinborne from making cases for Google’s Pixel 11.
Earlier this morning (May 29), Thinborne shared what it has in store for Google’s next flagship series. Very funny, and as the company jokes, nothing is different. Thinborne might say “Google is still Google… they haven’t changed much,” but there’s one big change we can’t help but mention: its camera cutout.
Thinborne renders show two Pixel 11 cases. The phone case on the right is slightly wider than the one on the left. Android Central’s Nicholas Sutrich wonders if this wider camera cut is related to the long-rumored “Pixel Glow” we’ve been hearing about for weeks. There are assumptions everywhereespecially because people are interested in what’s going on.
When the company shared what it was working on, it didn’t say which case belonged to which phone. If we were to guess (and it’s a wild guess), perhaps the far left belongs to the Pixel 11, leaving the right for the Pixel 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL. That would be ideal, but again, nothing is confirmed.
Room to shine?
This isn’t the first time Thinborne has made cases for rumored phones. This he did the same last year For Pixel 10. When Thinborne released the “Super Thin” box collection, which sold out shortly after its launch, the excitement was real. Google didn’t say anything official, but consumers (and Thinborne) didn’t care. The hype was as real as it gets this year.
Android Central’s Take
Thinborne just blows our minds what Thinborne does. Is it extra space to accommodate the Pixel Glow, or is it due to some camera improvements Google is working on. Perhaps the new sensor requires more space – a wider island. Or, maybe we get a bright light bar under the camera bar for the two high-end Pixel 11s. I could sit here and speculate all day…but that sounds exhausting.
“Pixel Glow” was noted in rumors alongside the Googlebook positioned as a nostalgic light bar. We already have Googlebook and its glowing light bar, and that’s fueling the hype for the Pixel 11 series, which is still getting something similar. Instead of flowing around camera island, recent rumors claim Pixel Glow he could sit inside device bar. This will include about eight LEDs grouped together similar to Nothing’s Glyph Matrix or Bar.
Rumors has created a mockup of what it might look like. It showed this little LED array sitting to the right of the camera stick flash. On the other hand, we have Google’s I/O 2026, which has people buzzing all of a sudden. Twins visible segment Pixel 11 and Pixel Glow teased. The model held her Pixel phone sideways next to a mirror, and the camera stick took on a vibrant light blue glow on its edge.
