Earlier this morning Spotify’s “Bulk reload” tool is designed to help users automatically upscale offline music to higher quality levels. It’s something users have long demanded for lossless music. But this tool isn’t the only high-demand feature the streaming app is working on.
Currently, Spotify allows you to adjust the playback speed for podcasts. While I personally don’t choose to enjoy everything I listen to, the option to speed up or slow down playback is undeniably popular. Of course, to each his own. This option is not available for music, but this may change in the near future.

We recently rolled out version 9.1.48.148 of the Spotify app. During our research, we came across a bunch of code that suggests you’ll soon be able to change the song speed.

Change song speed .Based on this line alone, it’s unclear what speeds will be available when this feature is launched. Given that Spotify has playback speed controls between 0.5x and 3.5x for podcasts, it’s fair to assume the same options will be available for music. It’s also unclear if this feature will be available to both free and Premium users like it is for podcasts.
