of the valve Steam deck The Verified Games initiative has been a huge success in the gaming world. Now Valve has added new beta Steamworks tools for game developers direct data collector Steam deck users.
If the game has been hacked and is Steam Deck Verified, developers can now track average frame rates over the last 30 daysalso buy user survey results based on whether the game fulfills its Verified promises.
For those worried about Steam collecting user data without permission, don’t worry. These two new dimensions are based on user participation.

Valve said it plans to add difference data At some point in the future for each date listed in its 30-day schedule, and also plans to bring this new compatibility schedule to Steam Deck games. You can play Not verified.
The user survey results metric works a little differently. Again, this is opt-in only and the prompt will only appear after the user has played the game for at least 10 minutes.
Users will be asked if they agree with the Steam Deck Verified status of a particular game. If they disagree, they will be asked to provide reasons based on the reason Introduction, Readability, Performance, Stabilityand Other.
The results of this user survey are intended to accompany the new average frame rate graphs and give developers a clearer look at whether their tweaks are actually improving the experience for players.
How does Steam Deck Verified work?
Valve uses a system with four main principles to evaluate Steam Deck verification. Controller input focuses on support, relevant icons, and on-screen keyboard automation. Screen takes care of default resolution settings and text reading.
Perfection it’s more about avoiding compatibility warnings and proper controller navigation. System support Proton relies on compatibility and anti-cheat support.
Games are then assigned one of four different Steam Deck Verified ratings.
Verified means that the game has passed all checks. You can play says it works with some caveats (perhaps the text isn’t always legible). Not supported it is only what it offers; This is often due to the fact that anti-cheats do not work Linux. And Unknown indicates that it is not processed.
All of these ratings are easily visible in the Steam store and basically take the guesswork out of the purchasing process.
Adoption of Windows Central
These new dimensions should be invaluable for developers who want to optimally manage their games on Steam Deck.
While the new graphics are only for developers at this point, I don’t see why Valve can’t one day release data to the public that gives customers a better gauge of how the game will perform. It will probably come after the database is built.
Valve has certainly worked hard to add new hardware monitoring in preparation for its release Steam Engine … if that happens.
