For those who don’t know, Total War: Warhammer 40,000 is the latest entry in the Total War franchise. These games blend turn-based and real-time strategy gameplay with elements of empire management to create epic scenarios where you lead massive armies to conquer enemies in world-spanning campaigns.
Total War: Warhammer 40,000 plans to take the core concepts of Total War and bring them to 40,000, with the player commanding armies at war across multiple planets while taking direct control of specific units at critical moments leading them to victory.
Based on the alpha gameplay footage in this trailer, it looks like Creative Assembly is well on its way to capturing how the horrific and extreme wars waged in the Warhammer 40,000 universe can be achieved.
Seeing the cities of Armageddon (one of the worlds you’ll fight in Total War: Warhammer 40,000) being torn apart by endless artillery fire, hundreds of orcs and humans slaughtering each other with fire, knives and explosions is an interesting sight, especially if you read about this war, read this world. But if you’re someone like me who has never played a Total War game and is interested in giving this game a try, don’t worry. Creative Assembly has confirmed that the game will feature story-driven campaigns that will introduce players to the mechanics of the game and the setting of Warhammer 40,000.
Additionally, the developers stated that the campaign’s story will have branching paths depending on the choices you make and the territories you conquer.
These options also provide game benefits for your army depending on which faction you play as. For example, Orks will be able to build Stompa mechs faster if they control a Scrapyard, while Astra Militarum will get a boost in tank production if they control a Factory in a civilized world.
To wrap up the trailer, Creative Assembly announced that there will be a closed beta test for Total War: Warhammer 40,000 later this year. register now on their website.

now, I love Warhammer 40,000but when it comes to strategy games with real-time elements, e.g Age of Empires or the classic Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War games, I didn’t suck them because I couldn’t handle the amount of chaos on the screen without cheating.
But that was when I was a kid in the early 2000s; As an adult in the 2020s, I have become wiser when it comes to strategy from playing tactical games. Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector.
So I’m ready to try out Total War: Warhammer 40,000 and find out how the franchise works because this game looks absolutely insane. Looking at hundreds and hundreds of units on screen to battle across multiple worlds and blast each other in a shower of gore looks awesome, and I can’t wait to try it out.
