Waze now shows traffic lights, but not for everyone yet


Waze, which has been in testing for a few months now, is starting to roll out traffic lights in navigation more widely, but it’s still not available to everyone.

The ability to see traffic lights during map navigation can be very useful, especially in long-distance traffic light settings. But it has become a widely usable part Google Maps and Apple Maps, Waze was left behind.

Waze was seen backtesting the traffic lights In December 2025 and now visible to more users. There are periodic reports for this a few monthsand a Reddit thread showing a few more users who saw the feature this weeksome within the last week or two, others for longer.

It’s unclear when Waze will open the floodgates for this, but it’s more extensive than it was a few months ago.
