Meta extends WhatsApp’s in-app AI-powered summaries feature to include unread context across multiple conversations. Here are the details.
To expand WhatsApp in-app AI summaries
As seen WABetaInfoWhatsApp’s latest TestFlight build includes references to a new feature that will allow users to view an AI-powered summary of unread messages across multiple conversations.
Currently, the app offers an AI-powered summary of unread messages in each individual conversation, and the entire summarization process WhatsAppPrivate Generation system.
Now, according to WABetaInfothe app is working on a “single unread chat summary feature” that will add a “Get Summary” button at the top of the Chats tab when the “Unread” filter is selected.

From WABetaInfo:
As you can see from the attached image, WhatsApp is exploring the implementation of a feature designed to produce private chat summaries. Although this feature is currently under development and will be released in a future update, it already promises to make generalization more convenient than ever. Currently, users in certain regions can create a message summary by opening a conversation. Here, users can tap the “summarize” button to prepare a brief summary. By reading a summary, users can easily understand the main points of a conversation because it condenses multiple messages into a concise overview. Private Generation creates a secure summary of unread messages. In particular, it processes the content in a privacy-preserving manner while providing a clear overview of the conversation.
WABetaInfo reports that the feature is in development for both iOS and Android versions of WhatsApp, which could indicate that it won’t be long before it’s released, or at least available to beta testers.
