WhatsApp’s updated chat lists interface is rolling out on iOS

WhatsApp introduces a new interface that makes it easier for iPhone users to manage and quickly switch between different chat lists. Here are the details.

The new chat lists interface is rolling out now

Recently, WhatsApp users on Android got access to a new chat list interface that allows them to keep only the most used chat lists visible, moving the others to a separate menu.

Now, with WhatsApp version 26.21.74 released on the App Store yesterday, the feature is making its way to iPhone users as well. I wonder how WABetaInfo It should be noted that this function was launched simultaneously in both the App Store and TestFlight versions of WhatsApp.

But considering WhatsApp is popular slow-paced broadcasts (even for officially announced features) it is possible that not all users will have access at the same time.

WABetaInfo notes that “As WhatsApp hasn’t announced an official timeline for a wider rollout, the feature should reach more users in the coming weeks.”

The WhatsApp chat lists feature includes both standard filters (such as Favorites, Unread, Groups and Communities) as well as custom lists that allow users to group specific chats based on their preferences.

Until now, these lists all appeared in a horizontal row at the top of the Conversations tab, which could quickly become overwhelming for users with multiple individual lists. With the new interface, users can choose which listings appear at the top and which are moved to the second filter menu.

The update also includes a new default list: Drafts. As the name suggests, it contains all conversations where the user started writing a message, but left the conversation without clearing the input field and sending a message.
