Trying and Ted Lasso premiered in 2020, bringing some much-needed relief to TV in a difficult year.
Now, Apple has both shows returning for new seasons to bring more good vibes and laughs this summer.
Trying to premiere season 5 Wednesday, July 8 one episode, followed by weekly releases through August 26.
The series follows London-based couple Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) on their journey of infertility, foster care and adoption.
If you’ve never seen Trying, but enjoy heartfelt comedies like Shrinkable and Ted LassoI highly recommend watching the series. The performance is impressive 96% Rotten Tomatoes score proof of its success over four seasons.

In season five, Nikki (Smith) and Jason (Spall) see the aftermath of Princess (Scarlett Rayner) and Tyler’s (Cooper Turner) biological mother Kat (Charlotte Riley) arriving on their doorstep and the whirlwind of chaos she brings to their settled family life.
