One of Microsoft and Xbox’s highest-profile console exclusives in recent memory, Bethesda Game Studios‘ great sci-fi space exploration RPG Starfieldmade its way to PS5 last week. Its release on this platform has been long-awaited and many believed it would never come – but days later it may already be on its way. else system too.
This revelation came when a new rating for the game was revealed on Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information (you can look it up yourself) here to see it). Especially with lists Xbox Series X|S, PC and PS5for the new rating Nintendo Switch 2.

This new rating has at least given hopeful Switch 2 owners reason to believe that a Starfield port is still in the works, though many are worried that even if it is. does eventually it turns out, it won’t provide a good experience as a result.
In the days following the game’s arrival on PS5, numerous players reported serious performance and crash issues, and Bethesda says it’s working on a fix on social media. Switch 2 users fear that the game will run even worse because it has less powerful hardware.
Still, people are hoping for a good Starfield port on Nintendo’s handheld, especially since other Bethesda games are coming to the Switch or there is comes Skyrim Anniversary Edition released on the platform in 2017 Fallout 4 It launched on Switch 2 in February and Oblivion Remastered The Switch 2 is slated to arrive sometime in 2026.
I expect that Starfield, with its vast world maps and spacey terrain, will have a much harder time adapting to the Switch 2’s hardware than Bethesda’s other RPGs. I think that’s why the rumored port has been hard to develop so far, though that’s just speculation.
Regardless, I hope that whatever issues are holding back a Switch 2 version from being made can be ironed out and that Starfield will eventually make its way to a Nintendo system. Until then, it’s playable on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5, accessible through the game. Xbox Game Pass on the previous two platforms.
